Calendar, both ways

Tasks come over with dates, deadlines, labels, subtasks and repeat rules. What you change here reaches Todoist right away, and what changed on Todoist is picked up after every session and break.

An MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT and any other assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol read your list and run your timer. A JSON API does the same for your scripts. Both are free on every plan.

  • An OpenAPI document, delta sync and a live event stream.
  • OAuth 2.1 sign-in with a consent screen for every app, two-factor authentication included, and revocable at any time. Personal access tokens cover your own scripts.
  • Every change behaves as it does in the app — completing a task over the API closes it on Todoist too.

Works with the calendar you already use

Read-only in both directions: Pomonaut can see when you are busy, and can never change, add or delete anything.

Which calendars work?

Google Calendar connects over a read-only connection to your account, private calendars included. Apple iCloud, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Nextcloud, Fastmail, Radicale and anything else that speaks iCalendar join through their ICS link — including a private one that needs a username and password. Recurring meetings, moved instances and time zones land on the right day at the right time.

What does Pomonaut see?

Only the entries that mark you busy — free-time, declined and cancelled ones are ignored, and so are all-day ones when checking for clashes. With Google it does not even ask what your entries are called, only whether you are free or busy. Your events stay in your browser and are never written to our database, so there is nothing to leak and nothing to purge.

Can my tasks show up in my calendar?

Your own tasks' due dates and deadlines publish as a private iCalendar link any calendar app can subscribe to — revocable and regenerable at any time. Repeating tasks repeat there too, rules set in Todoist included. With Premium, a single project publishes its own link.

Can a calendar app change my tasks?

No. The link is read-only in that direction too: nothing a calendar app does with it changes anything back in Pomonaut.

Pomonaut no longer accepts new sign-ups. Existing accounts keep working.
